Designed with respect for the Cretan landscape and the Mediterranean hospitality experience, the villa unfolds as a contemporary living space that combines the naturality of materials with understated luxury.
Our office worked on an already existing structural shell, fully developing the concept for both the interior and exterior spaces, including the selection of materials, color palettes and finishes, furniture, equipment, and bespoke constructions, combining the elegance of a refined urban retreat with the naturality and sense of freedom of an idyllic escape.
The design philosophy is rooted in the concept of “slow living,” creating an environment that promotes serenity, simplicity, and a deeper connection with the natural landscape and the sea. The space has been designed to offer an experience of relaxation and disconnection from the fast pace of everyday life, encouraging a more conscious way of living.
The earthy tones of the architectural shell and the stone claddings harmonize with the colors and materiality of the surrounding area, enhancing the building’s seamless integration into the landscape. The use of natural materials, clean lines, and subtle textures creates a sense of authenticity and timelessness.
Particular emphasis is placed on the connection between interior and exterior spaces, achieved through the flow and continuity of materiality, transparency, and the uninterrupted relationship with the natural environment. The bright interiors and outdoor configurations function as a unified living experience, where simplicity is combined with contemporary comfort and discreet luxury.
